Kenny Dunkwu is a British-Nigerian voice talent and actor, born in the UK with Nigerian roots and a background as a former teacher. His unexpected journey into the world of voiceover began while studying for a PhD in Education at the University of Manchester. One day, he spotted a flyer seeking narrators for a health project. Hesitant at first, he turned to his mother for advice. Her simple yet powerful response—“Well, you don’t know if you don’t try”—sparked a passion for storytelling that Kenny never anticipated.

Since then, Kenny’s voice has reached audiences in over 50 countries across three continents in just three years. Going global seemed to be his destiny, something he attributes to the meaning of his surname, which translates to “help me to tell the world.” In many West African cultures, names are deeply significant, reflecting a person’s character, personality, and even their life’s mission. For Kenny, his name perfectly embodies his purpose: to share stories that resonate across the globe.
